90th Midwestern Regional Convention – Kansas City

In accordance with Article, III, section 2, Sub-section 2.3 of the Constitution of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., I humbly discharge my duties as Regional Vice President on behalf of Brother Cartier Stewart, Regional Assistant Vice President, and the Regional Convention Team by presenting you with the official call for the 90th Annual Midwestern Regional Convention.

The 90th Annual Midwestern Regional Convention will take place from April 26 – May 1, 2022 at the Westin Kansas City at Crown Center

As this convention will be in person, we are requiring all Brothers to be fully vaccinated prior to arriving on site. For clarity, to be fully vaccinated means that you have taken the full regimen of the COVID-19 vaccine and allow two weeks to pass. This would be two shots for Pfizer and Moderna and one shot for Johnson&Johnson.

This is a special convention as it will be the first time in two years that we are coming together for a Regional Convention. As such, it is only fitting that the theme for the convention is Continuing Alpha’s Celebration in Brotherhood and Excellence

The Brothers of Beta Lambda and Delta Rho are excited and working tirelessly to make sure your time in the show-me state would be categorized as the Old Gold and Black experience.

We are introducing a new convention model this year including a virtual component to make sure that all brothers can experience a part of this convention. Tuesday and Wednesday evening will be dedicated to virtual workshops. The remainder of the convention will be focused on official business as we dedicate time to enjoy one another and fellowship in the true spirit of Alpha.

We are also inviting our partners in the house including:

  • Rockwell Automation
  • Tulane University
  • Truist Bank
  • Be The Match
  • March of Dimes
  • The Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation

Highlights of the convention will be the introduction of the Military Affairs Breakfast, welcoming our General President, Brother Dr. Willis L. Lonzer, III, to deliver the State of the Fraternity Address, hearing the State of College Brothers’ Affairs from Brother Cartier Stewart, and the State of the Region Address from Brother Ronald D. Stovall, Jr.

We invite you to be a part of this convention, Book your group rate for Alpha Phi Alpha Midwestern Regional Convention 2022. This is a convention that you do not want to miss.
